FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
better gambling priority for new binion's owners
changes made for blackjack and craps games
Las Vegas (April 9, 2008) - Players who walk into Binion's
Gambling Hall & Hotel today will enjoy better odds than they
would have five weeks ago. The new owner of the legendary
casino, TLC Casino Enterprises, has changed the house rules for
blackjack and craps. Blackjack now pays 3 to 2 on double deck
and shoe games, and bettors can wager 10 times odds on craps with
a $5.00 minimum bet. Limits also have been raised for most of
the blackjack games.
"One of the very first things we wanted to do was offer more
player-favorable action at Binion's," said Tim Lager, general
manager. "We want to emphasize Binion's long-standing reputation
as a true gamblers' casino."
In addition to the changes in odds and payouts, Lager has
reorganized the casino floor to give players more options and
better space in which to gamble. A new game, Blackjack Switch,
in which each player plays two hands with the option of switching
cards between the hands, has been added to the casino. And,
several small pits were combined into a larger gaming pit with
roulette, craps and 10 blackjack tables. The new pit is open
longer hours than previously and, after repositioning several
slot machines and a temporary stage, there is comfortable space
for the players, dealers and cocktail servers to interact.
"These changes make Binion's more competitive with other Las
Vegas casinos," said Lager. "The goal is to provide the best
possible gambling experience for all of our guests. That's what
Binion's is all about."
With the new rules on craps, Binion's is one of a handful of Las
Vegas casinos to offer 10 times odds.
