Practice vs. Real

You all know that playing a game at videopoker.com is not the same as when you risk your hard-earned money at a casino. In practice play you are a lot more unemotional since nothing tangible (but your pride, perhaps) is at stake.

So while I enjoy sampling the "newer" games online I have no way to gauge how people are actually succeeding in real-life situations.

For example, in practice play at Big Times Draw Poker this morning I was playing 10 Play 9/6 Jacks and was dealt four 5s. The multiplier was 4X, so I had a $5000 hand right there on the spot. Nice hit, but in practice play it's only make-believe winnings.

Yet as I glance through actual jackpot photos I rarely see any of these newer specialty games shown. Hardly ever a Big Times Draw, Ultimate, Chase The Royal or whatever.

So, I am asking if any of you are regularly playing some of these newer games and how you are doing.

It seems to me that bankroll considerations must be steep. After all, when you risk an additional bet of up to 100% of an original bet to "buy" a multiplier (or perhaps I should say CHANCE of a multiplier) some of you may have already experienced painful losses very quickly.

So please share your actual experiences to give us all a better idea of what to expect. If you prefer to email me privately your identity and information will be kept secure upon request.

Thanks,

Mikey

I try everything from 9/6 JOB to Aces and I rarely go into the positive on
these games. . . .I have to almost get DEALT a 4-to hand or above. . . .
I almost think it's "easier to win in a real casino than on these games
but they're fun to play and give my mind time to "zone out"!
