Just wondering if anyone knows how Park Place Entertainment,
specifically Ballys and Paris calculate the value of their room comps.
I will once again be staying at Ballys in a couple of weeks on a room
offer $49 per night on week nights. Since room offers are deducted
from your comp account I know I will be starting my play in the red
and will have to have X amount of play before any of the nights will
be comped or any food will be picked up.
Do they have a standard rack rate used to calculate the value of a
discounted room comp or do they use the prevailing market rate for
their rooms to make this calculation? I am considering giving them
minimal play to keep the offers coming and playing elsewhere for food
comps and to generate future room offers so any information you can
provide would be appreciated. -JFR
