In my own defense - I copied a message that was posted on a public
forum. There is no "vetting" criteria to become a member, to post
or read messages of the "harrahscasinos" group on YAHOO!GROUPS.

The text of the message was not particularly lenghty; particularly
as compared to numerous other messages posted here.

The text of the message was delivered in the first person and
contained no indication or disclaimer that there was
anyy "copyrighted" material within the message.

It is my understanding that any written composition, including
posts on internet forums, is the intellectual property of the
author and is protected by copyright laws. Accordingly, lengthy
copyrighted material should never be posted verbatim on vpFree,
without permission. Instead, post a link to the material and/or
a summary. Short, credited excerpts may be quoted.

If "any written composition, including posts on internet forums....
is protected by copyright laws" then, maybe, Posting Guideline #5
should read: "Never post any lengthy written composition verbatim
without permission." (or something similar). Then, the issue of
what is (and what isn't) 'copyrighted material' would be moot.

Using the Administrators definition of 'copyrighted material,'
I suppose that I am breaking his guideline #5 right now, by
posting the Administrator's 'copyrighted material' below,
verbatim and without permission.
