Why didn't anybody ever post telling the rest of us how good things were at
the LVH when they actually were good? Then it might have actually done some of
us some good, at least the non-LVH regulars who weren't familiar with that
casino.
Frankly, I am close to removing myself from the group because it has become
so negative....
I believe it was last July when jwkelly posted that the Riviera was giving 5x
cashback and suggested the 4 DB machines by the high roller area that were
the 10/7 and the 80 for the straight flush. He speculated that the regular
video poker cashback at 0.25% would give you 1.25% that month plus the few
comp/mdse that goes along with the play.
How much more does the membership have to know? I went down and found that
the play was 2.50% because they had set the only four video poker DB machines
at a slot countdown giving 0.5% as the basic cashback. In addition, the club
/marketing people were many times erroneous in manually giving you your 5x and
actually were giving 6x.
Ain't it awful? I did not feel compelled to edit the original post since
even the projected 1.25% had the four machines getting enough play from the
locals and a visiting bridge regional added players to this advantage bank(they
were playing at just the base rate).
The play had been advertised; its advantages were good enough to bring out
the crowds. We should wonder sometimes.....who are the givers and who are the
takers? I like to post when I hear of some promo, merchandise, etc where many
playable machines are involved.
The very valuable posts of late have been those relating to the minimal
amount(s) needed to qualify for the various tiers in terms of bounce back. This
info maximizes the rewards for your base play if you know how little will earn
you the top coupons. Many of our members have posted info as they decipher it.
We aren't saints. If you come across a plum in one machine (overpays the
credits, twice the electronic drawing entries for regular play, etc), why would
you advertise it? Sooner or later, the bean-counters will catch it. I don't
begrudge members that have found "something" and only their inner circle knows
about it.
I only took exception to one post that announced they had a "secret" play but
couldn't reveal it. Why say at all and tease the rest of us? Just play the
"finds" and sooner or later, they all become public knowledge.
