Just a word about a strong positive and a strong negative in auto
renting in LV. Positive - just finished a four day trip to LV and
rented a car from Dollar. I was 16 minutes over the 24 hour mark at
turn in, and was charged $5 for the extra "hour". I also took the
pre-paid option for gas for a mid-size car. Dollar was out of mid-
size when I got my car, and I got bumped to a luxury car at the mid-
size price. When I checked out, they had charged me for luxury tank,
not a mid-size tank.
I took the receipt to the counter, expecting a knock down drag out on
both items, especially the gas amount. The counter person, without
any hesitation, deleted the extra hour and part of the gas charge.
WOW - actual customer oriented service! Dollar will get my business
from here on out. The young lady at the counter was named Paris -
maybe she will find out about this post.
Now the negative - I rented from Sav-Mor on the previous trip.
Dirty, second rate car, and surly personnel. Watch how you answer
the "insurance" question - it is designed to trick you. As far as
renting from them - never again!
