Poll results for vpFREE

I find the poll results to be about what I would expect considering that very, very few video poker players keep track of their actual results. Since we are encouraged to keep good records in order to be winning players, it follows that players who don’t keep records are more likely to be losing players (and can’t answer the poll at least not accurately). Therefore, the poll shows more winners than losers.

BTW We aren’t “required” to answer the polls here, just “expected” to do so. But internet forum members are notorious for ignoring forum rules anyway.

I personally find the results of these polls amusing.

We are all “required” to participate in all polls — and yet only a few dozen do. There is apparently no penalty for not doing what is required here.

And boy, are vpFREE members winners! If the results reported were anywhere near accurate, casinos would be scrambling to shut this hotbed of AP players down.

In any group this size, losing players will far outnumber winning players. But you won’t find that on these polls. Our results show we are WINNERS!

Yay for us!

I’ll answer for myself, but suspect it applies to some others. I’ve read this group daily for 10+ years and do not remember ever seeing an actual Poll before. I don’t have a clue how to find and complete the poll, other than to read the post and conversational replies to the post. Secondly, it will a couple of more months before I have gathered and compiled all my records for 2016, so I couldn’t fill out the 2016 poll even if it was easy to find. To be honest, I don’t even try to look at the winning pictures anymore because (at least on my computer), I can no longer view them and the comments anymore. A year or two ago they changed how they display and as I recall when I try to view they kind of float around and by and I can’t see comments either anymore, so I quit trying a long time ago.

FWIW the annual results poll is put up each year a couple of weeks after the year’s close and has always been announced via a vpFREE post. The post includes a direct link to the poll. (You can also review all polls by clicking on “More” at the top of any vpFREE page then selecting “Polls”). It remains open for responses until the following year’s poll is up.
