"Poker room" gambling on machine?

Trump's Plaza in Atlantic City tried it, and it didn't work. A couple of my
friend's said it wasn't supervized well enough, and groups of players would come
in and rip off other's at the table by talking another language, using hand
signs and other stuff, and the worker's couldn't catch it.

These are problems related to supervision that could also occur with live dealers, and which would also "not work" in that setting.

I also have heard stories of poker rooms where supervisors permitted such rule infractions (and others as well) knowingly when committed by "regulars", to the detriment of "guests" who were not regulars, and in my opinion, to the ultimate detriment of the integrity of the game and the casino and in particular, the individuals who don't do their job -- it's cheating, plain and simple.

Poker rooms where I've seen the machines (apparently) working out OK have adequate supervision, although I do NOT think they are as knowledgeable as to what kind of activities might not be acceptable and probably not as cognizant of the importance of having rules and enforcing them.

The good news is, the machines tend to enforce the most commonly broken rules re: bet size, acting out of turn, and so on.
