Okay, so "Slim Pick'ems" is more popular than I realized (it's still one of my favorites).

What about "Penn & Teller" for a pair of Jacks? We've been using that one since they became
a permanent Vegas act at the Rio.

Bettie;
Best I can tell, Becksam gets credit for that great sobriquet:

For the short-pay version, how about SLIM PICKEMS?

Earliest mention I could find anyway...

My most popular phrase is I was a (Royal -(Ten+ Queen+ King+ Ace)) Off
spoken angrily and kinda loud. It has been known to offend people
around me and get more liberal people chuckling.

Lets get some Royals... Beachstu

I can top that. I heard a whale playing a $100 machine scream he hit a
"Four-King Jackpot"!

We usually look (and hope) for quads when drawing to 3-of-a-kind. We
don't hold out much quads hope for our pair draws. I use "Stray
Quads!" to refer to those pleasant surprises we get when our pair draws
result in quads.
