Please comment on any of these situations,

Howdy

What would you do if you were confronted(?) will any of the following while
playing VP

1...Someone stands behind the person playing next to you and coaches or
cheers them on.

2,A man lights up a cigar next to you

3...The next door player constantly bangs the machine

Or maybe can you think of some other player annoyance and your solution.

All three bother me, but I usually put up with them.

What bothers me the most:
When someone sits next to me and instantly attempts to start up a conversation.

If that someone happens to be or looks like Maria Sharapova, Jennifer
Aniston, Anna Kournikova, or Miss Universe, there is no way I would let
her startup conversation bother me at all.....Those VP machines can
wait. :>

2,A man lights up a cigar next to you

I would light up my own cigar and enjoy...

Don the Dentist

For 1 and 2, I might move, if possible, otherwise I start doing 3.
Make it a game to see how annoying you can get. Start talking to
yourself, start getting pairs and shout that you DOUBLED your money, ...

A hand on my chair is no problem if they are sitting down/standing up.
My money isn't back there anyway. If hand persists, my chair
mysteriously starts vibrating/swiveling. And I have super-hyper leg
syndrome.

Usually I have music in Vegas, and if someone want to talk I just turn
up the volumn. I sure wish Indian casinos would allow headphones.

I welcome any conversation, especilly if is intelligent.
There are too many players who are way too serious, who look glum and depressing .
I've tried to intelligently converse with players or congratulate them on a jackpot ,and they give me a dirty look, as if i was weird, or they ignore me altoghether. You're not going to get rich playing video poker.
Lighten up people, life is too short!

I start to sing aloud. It scares away most unwanted
visitors.

I find that muttering/growling under my breath and occasionally
slapping myself in the face accomplishes the same thing ...

Then you can start a new Las Vegas lounge act, named of course,
"The Vicious Violent Vexed Villainous VP Vocalists".
