A friend of mine just called his host at Plaza and was told because of
new management they're stopping all offers for free rooms. Anyone here
have any recent experience with either of these two places?
Plaza/Vegas Club Offers
I believe my last offer for free rooms from them came in June that
covered thru August or September. I've also gotten slot tournament
invites that include free rooms (one for this weekend we're using),
but I haven't seen as many this year as last. Unfortunately with the
slide the Plaza has been on, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the
case. I will try to report back anything I find out from my host when
I return next week.

Yes, there is new management. Navagante Group is no longer managing the
casinos. They pulled out several months ago, so things are changing with
them.

My understanding is that Navagante had ot give one years notice which would mean they are still managing for another 8 months or so.

No, Navagante was just the management group. Tamares, (or a similar name)
are the owners/investors. They have some other arrangements apparently being
worked out at this time. I don't think Nav is still on the property. Nav is

I was at the Plaza all weekend and spoke with my host regarding the
this. He assured me they will be sending out some truly "super" offers
shortly. I was told numerous times by many of the slot club folks that
they are in the process of combining their slot card accounts with the
Vegas Club, and that we will have to pick a home hotel where all
offers will come from going forward (kind of a bummer). That may be
the reason for the current lack of offers. Guess we'll have to wait
and see what comes out next. He did also mention an upcoming
combination Slot/Blackjack tournament for Halloween.
