I did a search but nothing came up for messages within the last year (probably because everyone's already a member.) But if you haven't been yet, new members can earn up to $285 free play within 24 hours of sign-up. $5 free play is automatically awarded at sign up.

I just did this last night at the Plaza. Best game there at the moment (from what I could find) is 50c single line 9/6 JoB. If you just play 2500 coin in, total new member free play earned is 5+10+20+50+100 = $185. Including the 500 points = $1.50 FP cashback, the total game return for this advantage play is 107.24% or a profit of $181 with a standard deviation of $349.24. At 800 hands/hour this should only take 1.25 hours of your time.

If you intend to earn the additional $100 FP, you have to play $12,500 coin in. The game return is 102.12% or an EV of $265 with a sigma of $780.92. However this will take you at least six hours.

There are $1 9/6 JoB machines at the Vegas Club if you are so inclined. It will take you half the time but at a higher variance.

FWIW I chose only to play 2500 coin in and ended the session positive. I hit a royal about 3/4 the way through so I was running hot hot hot!. Results not typical, obviously. :wink:

I have read some posts on message boards about players not being able to
successfully complete this, either because the points were not properly
accounted for, or because they were hassled at the booth when trying to
redeem.

You had no issues, I assume?

Anything in the fine print to watch out for? Seemed pretty obvious, like no
multipliers. Was the free play available on the 9/6 JOB machines?

I am interested in checking out the remodeled Plaza on my next trip. I
haven't been there for years and I'm not sure if I ever joined up, so if I
didn't, I plan to take advantage of this.

I had no problems whatsoever redeeming them. The only thing that caught my eye was that you can earn points at both properties but you can only play the free play at the casino you redeemed them at. The lady at the Plaza desk even checked if I had played at the Vegas Club to see if I could get the additional $5 dollars for 500 pts so earning at both casinos should be no problem.

Also I think you get an "extension" until 12:00am the next day for earning points, but don't quote me on that. YMMV but ask to get clarification of course.
