Plaza & Las Vegas Club Players Club - July 1 Changes

If I understand it correctly, it is the percentage of the royal flush payout that you get as bonus freeplay. For example, it you hit a $4000 royal and are in their players club's King tier, you would get $2000 in freeplay in addition to your royal payout.

I wonder what this means. 10%, 25%, 50%, 100% of what?

I can't comment whether Mark's right or wrong. What I CAN comment on is Mark will be a guest on this week's Gambling with an Edge comparing Mlife and Total Rewards. The show was taped a week ago (I'll be out of town this Thursday) and it went well.

You do realize that such a bonus would add around 2% to the return of any video poker game for the Ace card level, which would be absurdly generous specially as a permanent benefit.

I do.
It is a sizable bonus. I can only try to read into their logic on this. First, the bonus is in freeplay, not cash. The means it needs to be played through once, so the ev is lower than the face value of the freeplay. Second, they probably aren't thinking that it will happen with great frequency. Third, getting to the Ace tier requires $300,000 coin in on video poker. That's sizable action for downtown and they may be offering the Royal Bonus as a nice incentive to get you to play that much.
If they are doing tier matching as the original post said they might be doing, that could lead into a big problem very quickly since they would have more players qualifying for those higher tier bonuses without any previous play at the Plaza.

This is my understanding of the royal bonus. It's quite a generous offering so I can't imagine it being in place for long, but until then I will be happy to partake

I have no idea how good or bad the video poker is at the Plaza....but the freeplay promotion won't add anything if they squash it before you hit a royal flush.

I think it is brilliant. I am sure they know where the major advantage players are
in the club so they guess how many people they have to worry about. They probably also are ready to drop tbe boom if too many dangerous VP players jump in the pool. They can also count on that threat to keep other at bay. They get to build up their club and most people play crap machines and crap strategy. It

Aha!! So the $800 an hour play is out of town! Now, the question is....is Bob going north, south, east, or west? And how far is he going? The plot thickens....

Given how the club changes are being bandied about on various blogs recently, expect to stand in line for a machine.

I predict that no later than July 8 the 6 machines with strong games will be stickered as being excluded from the RF bonus benefit.

I received a “Preferred Bonus Point” offer from M for June 14-15. I would like to hear from someone else who also got this offer and share our understanding of this maybe-good-maybe-not offer. Please e-mail me privately for this discussion since it is not a offer for the general public so would not be of interest to most people here.
