Plaza $500 loss rebate- Best strategy?

Yes, I would play a high limit slot to earn the rebate. The higher variance ones have top heavy payoffs. Personally I just play one that looks like fun since I can rarely justify playing slots.

I believe the Plaza is making some changes so that free play can be downloaded on more of the video poker. Previously free play could only be downloaded on video poker at the sportsbook bar but paytables are very low.

It appears that this is correct. Free play can now be downloaded on all video poker even on the machines with good games at the Omaha Bar and on the banks beside the Sportsbook Bar. But it doesn't work on any of the old coin machines by the slot club.

In other Plaza news -

The walls and ceilings in the hallways of the 2nd and 3rd floors are covered with sheets of plastic like very large garbage bags. Bingo and Oscars are still open there and also the wedding chapel, the beef jerky store and the cigar store.

Yolla Alsabagh used to be a host at the Plaza and before that at the D and the Golden Gate. Her Linkedin page now says she is a "Player Development Executive at Ellis Island". Maybe this is a first for Ellis Island. I have never known of any hosts there.

Someone reported to vpfree2 that the 5c and 10c on the good games have been downgraded. And also that some of the machines with good games beside the Sportsbook Bar have been removed.
