Plaza $149 2 nights w/ $300 slot play, massage, $50 food cre...

Not to hijack this thread.

“Wheel of Fortune” deal site had something similar for the Jockey Club. The liberal amount of free play was for promotional machines at Casino Royale.

I would be very careful and completely research this “deal” before booking it. I suggest contacting Living Social, than also the “provider” before spending my money. I’d also probably check with the Plaza.

My concerns would be the “perks”. The free play is where? Which specific shows? Who is the massage provider? Food is where, specifically? And verify each portion of the deal via telephone and email if possible.

There is no “free lunch”.

dont forget the deal includes no taxes - that could be a bit...Tom

This deal doesn't make any business sense. I would buy with a grain of salt.

I think this is pretty easy to figure out folks. If it looks like a time share, walks like a timeshare..

Wehn I was in LV this weekend I remember a downtown hawker (one of many) "saying something about "do you want $300 freeplay" hmm may be the same company. And no they won't use the words "time share " on the street or online.

There is no free lunch as someone said.

If you go to the Plaza website it makes more sense.

It looks like they are selling rooms there for $29.00 weekdays.
From what I understand the food and massage are both for
their in house services.

The slot play, well, if they get an average 10% hold and
people run it through a few times.

It's the empty airline seat, unsold concert ticket thing.

Freshly remodeled still pretty slow, and not everyone is
like us who will run that $300 through the highest Ev
VP machine we can find and then cash out.

I say bully for the Plaza for making a crazy offer and
hoping that enough people have fun and give good
reviews they get repeat and referral business.

I hope.

well, I hope for the people who bite you are correct. But the fact there is no info online about the "Exotic Escapes Resort" company online other than a bare bones facebook page should be a cause for concern. Plus the fact they are in located in Florida screams timeshare.

I would still bet a pound to a pinch of shit as they say in England that you will check in and ask for your "advantage play" and be told to go to another location at such and such a time and see the Resort people. Hey it might still be a good deal if you are cool with sitting through those 2-3 hr presentations. as for me, no thanks.

If it is not legit, there will be a lot of unhappy people. Almost 3000 have been sold!

Their website is located at: http://goo.gl/uV2Qf

The site is mostly crap from what I see, with info basically pulled from Plaza's site. But if you click on their logo on the site, they do have a legitimate site that appears to be based on timeshares.

Living Social replied that there is absolutely no timeshare requirement for this deal. Plaza is updating their Facebook page with information but we have nothing steady yet. There is someone from Facebook who is making use of the deal this Sunday and I've contacted them about calling me to let me know what happens at check-in. I'll report back here immediately once I have confirmation of exactly what happened, as well as updating TA and VMB.

In the meantime, since the deal is fully refundable, I jumped on it and if it goes south it's easy enough to cancel. If anyone else is planning on doing so, I'd like to throw my referral email into the ring as well! I need one more! http://goo.gl/XQTji

While this deal may be legit it'll be dead soon enough and refunds will be issued. II wouldn't be purchasing plane tickets for a trip 6 months out.

I'd bet there's already a van that's been rented and is making the rounds in North Las Vegas. It's all been done before....many times at many promos. For starters, think Westin.

I'm curious but I won't bite. I got 2 nights at the Plaza in May at $22 a night through hotels.com.
This offer does sound tooooo good. Especially when the Plaza has a long list of known gamblers to send out comped rooms to. Why chance getting burned by sharpies or deadbeats?
If it's kosher this is a better deal than Stupak ever offered!

Great, I'm sure many of us would appreciate it. If this turns out to be kosher I'll double book there as I already have a room there in May at $22 a night through hotels.com.

When this was purchased there is a part on the deal( with Living Social) that says the "fine print". Nowhere is there anything about this being a time share in the fine print.

That being said I printed out my voucher and called the number they gave me to make the reservation----- nobody is answereing .

It took two days but I got in touch with "exotic vacations" and was able to book this deal. The only thing that changed is that instead of the massage( to many people got this deal , so they can't give the message)they are giving a $100 food credit.

Bottom line---the deal looks legit and is not a time share
