Sorry about last post do not email much and forget not to hit the return
in the subject line which sends.At Harrahs rincon for a 7x day 9/8 and
they appear to pay bonus points for videopoker because my account
more than double of what it should have by cashin x 7x.Next diamond
I may go is 9/29 .While there I hit a royal on a 5 play dollar dueces on
the first line.I'm not a multi line player so I hestitated when they said "
All we need now for you to do is play it off"I did because I was still
jumping up and down but that was really 25 dollars I did not want to bet.
Has anyone handled this situation differently?

Obviously they cannot make you gamble another $25.

The easiest thing short of refusing, which you could have done, was to play
just one coin.

Yes, they just open up the machine and push the button. I tried it
once on a hand pay for $1000 royal and they just looked at each
other and then opened up the machine and cleared it.

My point was that if it had been a TITO machine, I could have cashed
out (yes, I know yours was probably over the $1200 cut off)and left
the royal showing. So I asked them why do they ask for the playoff
and they said so someone could not claim it was their hit. My
response was regarding the TITO machine and said I was done playing
that machine. Probably did not make any friends, but it was the
principle of the situation.

Hi Dave:

The best way for this to be handled by a casino happened to me on a coin dropper at the
Luxor. After my royal hand-pay, the attendant opened the machine, took out 5 coins,
dropped them in the slot, and pressed "Deal." She wished me luck and moved on. If they
insist we play it off, they can at least foot the bill.

I actually could not play it off because when I hit a royal on a
single line $1 it was my last 5 credits. I could not play it off.
They said no problem and after paying me and resetting - they took a
$5 off the change attendant and put it in the machine and had me
play the next hand. I asked if you are required to play it off and
they said kind of hym-hawed about it but eventually told me that no -
they could not require you to play another hand with your own money
if you did not want to.
I will tell you that often I have been asked after a hit (in Calif
and in Nevada) if I plan on continuing play - if not they reset and
use casino money and throw the hand away. I have had Casinos put
money in the machine and told me to play (called seasoning) - even
though I had every intention of continuing to play with my own
money.

No you don't have to play it off. Once in Joliet, on my last hand I got a hand pay. After they paid me they said play more to play it off. I said no, They said ok. They opened up the machine and just reset it. That also happened in Vegas once. Got a royal on the last hand. They didn't even ask me to play off. Just paid me.
