Playing VP, watching March Madness

LVH-but get there in plenty of time to get the best machine so you can see
over the heads of the standers-arounders. The sportsbook offers 9/6 JOB; NSUD
and LD at $.25-$1.

I'm going to be in LV for the 2nd weekend of the NCAA Tournament. I'm
looking for recommendations on where to watch games while playing VP.
I know the sports bar at the Wynn has $ 9/6 Jacks but I'm having a hard
time remembering which casinos have a lot of TV's just spread out where
you can easily see them while playing VP. I'll play 99% and higher
games, $.25 to $1. I also like STP, Multistrike, multiline, etc. so I
know I'll have to go off-Strip but can't remember which of the casinos
I've gambled in like MSS, Red Rock, Orleans, Southpoint have good TV
coverage in the casino. Thanks in advance!

I won't be playing VP during the games, but does
anyone have a recommendation on a casino that has an
event scheduled around March Madness. I am staying at
the Golden Nugget so I would prefer to stay downtown.

Last year I was there for the final and the Golden
Nugget had a ballroom set up for the event. This year
I am going for the first weekend. I am more interested
in enjoying the basketball experience than the VP this
time around.

A great atmosphere to watch a game but getting a clear line of vision
in what's likely to be a jammed to the gills book will be tough.
Maybe a machine on the far end of the bank nearest the bar might be
best.

Another consideration is the theo (unless something has recently
changed) is very poor...I'd estimate less than 1%. Don't expect your
action to generate much in the way of mail, comps or cash since
Resorts is all about theo these days. The good news is that once
you're on their list they seem to send mail for decades. I'm still
getting lit based on my $1 PE action back in the day of 0.67 CB.
And, yes, I'll take this moment to reminisce back to the late night
action at the Star Trek bar. PE, unique service from bartender Sam
and the local girls with faces only a mother could love.

Mike, I will also be there specifically to watch the games and
according to a mailer I received from the Golden Nugget for the first
weekend you will be able to:

"Catch all the pulse-pounding B-ball action you can handle in a
BRAND NEW viewing area, The Grand - our spacious 11,000 SQUARE FOOT
EVENTS CENTER! Featuring Free Admission, Giant Plasma screen TV's,
live Blackjack and Craps and Betting Stations."

Hyperbole aside, it sounds pretty good. If you think about it,
all a B-ball junkie really needs is a chair, four giant screens, a
cold frosty beverage and, as a bonus, a betting window nearby. Sorry
but it just don't get any better than that.
