Was recently guilty of this at Flamingo Laughlin. But it wasn't because they
had a good play. PPE properties (& some other trip-average casinos) have a
dumb rule about playing 4 hrs/day. Not being able to find 2 single-line quarter
JB or DB machines together, I finally found a bank of 3 triple-play JB quarters
& proceeded to play all 3 to meet the 12-hr requirement for a 3-day stay by
playing 3 machines for 4 hrs. After 2.5 hrs & an accumulation of credits on one
machine, some lady asked how long I was going to play. I offered her one of
the machines which she proceeded to lose a few hundred thru before she quit. By
that time, several single-lines together opened up & I finished out on those.
At Flamingo Laughlin, I'm room only which is probably only $2K/day & 400
hands/hr of single-line quarters. Don't like any of their restaurants but rooms
are OK. Computers are slow to catch up on recording both pts & time so give it a
few hrs before you check.
But Jean's advice is the way to get along. Generally, don't play 2 machines
when people are waiting & if it's a promotion.
