Or (and this is worse IMO) for them to stop smoking even though they sit
down next to where you are playing and NOT smoking.

If they sit next to you, I would expect then to try to avoid getting smoke
near you. If they cannot, then ask you to watch their machine when you go
to have a smoke. I am a smoker and I believe it should go both ways.
