Do things suck that badly in Vegas nowadays, or are there a lot of
deals that just don't make it into the Friday column?

The whole column is a joke. All they do is post information you can
find on any casino web site, or ads in paper.
With the Internet, it is no longer needed.
They have never put the juicy plays in Player's Edge. They keep those
plays for theirselves. Every once and awhile you will read about a
juicy play when Bob decides to use it for fodder in one of his
columns. Of course the play has long been over with by the time you
read about it. Calling the column a joke doesn't quite hit the nail on
the head. Garbage is a much more succinct word.
