Something's not kosher here. The article contains the following about
the Cannery:

"All race and sports bets now receive American Can Club points at a
rate of 30 points for $1 race bet and 300 for a $1 sports bet."

Is the American Can Club the same players club that is listed in this
Group's database?

Because the database shows that I can get $1 cashback or comps for
every 600 points. That would mean, if both the article and the database
are correct, that I could make a $10 sports wager, earn 3000 points and
get $5 cashback.

What am I missing? I'm thinking there's a gross misprint in the
article. I'll bet it's supposed to read for horses you get 1 point for
every $30 wagered and for sports you get 1 point for every $300
wagered. That would make a lot more sense. But, what do I know? I'm
just a tourist.

I'm running to the Cannery right now...I'll bet the Lakers -1.5 -110
for $1,000 and bet Phoenix +1.5 -110 for $1,000.

I'll lose $100 on the game, but get $1,000 in cashback!!

In my dreams

Hey! You stole my plan! I've just made first-class plane reservations
to fly in from the east coast this afternoon. I'm gonna hit this one
up before you pros burn it to the ground. I'll meet you in the sports
book for a drink and to collect my 10% finders fee. I'll be the guy
with the sunglasses and gray hooded sweatshirt (hood up over my
head). Come over and say "hi."

See ya tonite!

Beavis & Butthead play there too?! The Cannery must be one class joint!

Actually, you've just given me a great idea! I gotta work on it a bit.

I thought it may be Phil Laak (aka The Unibomber)...but I'd be on the
lookout for Jennifer Tilly

Actually, I wear my outfit in the hopes that "Miss Vicki" strolls in
in her ultra-short, ultra-tight red dress with the plunging neckline,
sees me, mistakes me for her boyfriend and takes me home for a wild
night. Hey Don, you're not the only guy who can dream.
