I play video poker usually just JOB 9/6. I'm aware IF I play
perfectly I lose 1/2 % of my coin in over time. This is acceptable
to me. I have an excellent chance of having some fun, some beers,
some food and maybe a room if I need it and not losing too much, if
anything overall.
I would not play 9/5 and certainly not 8/5 even with an impressive
progressive.
Casinos have to ask the question if they drive off "Advantage" or
skilled "recreational" players who lose but at "minimal" levels who
will recruit new players for them ?
I would hate to admit how many friends and aquaintances I have
introduced to casino gambling over the years explaining IF they will
spend some time and effort they can play and enjoy the games as I
do. Do they spend the time and effort ? Most don't, do they? but
they do see and hear from me about my trips and they keep the casino
in mind as a trip to take occasionally even if they are usually
donating excess money for their "free" cocktails, buffets etc.
If the casino won't give me a reasonable game I will not play,
further I will tell those who ask me gambling has become a Fool's
errand, you cannot win!, it is just a robbery! So to me it is
necessary for the casino to live with people like us or face MAD
(mutually assurred destruction).
The casino's NEED a few winners and a few happy gamblers in order to
lure the unsuspecting in, we're the decoys for them and they should
offer us drinks, feed us, entertain, house and treasure us !
