Went down to Biloxi on a 3 night offer, mainly to check out the live
poker scene, but of course I fit in some VP. The Imperial Palace has
been really agressive with the mail offers lately, and I've tossed
out all of them up until now since it takes me awhile to generate the
ambition to drive 385 miles. But 3 nights is enough for me to be
able to get a good sleep in after the drive, plus it came with a $25
coupon, which I use for meals. In fact I've got another 3 night/$25
to use next week.
I ended up sleeping about 12 hours per day :), comfortable beds, what
can I say? Rest of the time those first 2 days I played 3 short
sessions of hold'em with small profits of about $25 each.
On friday I played all my VP at the IP, it's 4x points day. I don't
usually give a crap about points obviously, but I figured I'm staying
there, why go somewhere else? And as agressive as they are with
marketing, can't hurt to generate some more free rooms, all I've got
to do is NOT LOSE. Plus they've FINALLY converted their MG/MD to
TITO. I did a couple romps up to the $2 level which is the highest
they offer, ended up being $400 down both times before hitting the
$2. At $2 I chose 7/5 Triple Bonus Poker Plus. 1st mini-sesson I
hit an early FH for a $60 cashout. Next machine over, I popped 4 7's
for $500 ending the romp. Same thing happened on the next
progression after about an hour of back & forth on the same $200
buyin, so I left 4 machines side-by-side with good size winners on
the screen. That was it for VP, I took a measly win home with me,
after cashing out $41 in cashback and some free meal comps.
