Like Jeff, I'd be interested to know which casinos get the newsletter. More
importantly, I'd like to know who actually READS it. After reading the first 4
issues, I dropped it since IMO much of the material was lightweight & probably
edited not to attack some of the core sensibilities of casino higher-ups.
One thing I'd like to see is a web site devoted to rating casinos where
customers can provide input about their experiences. Since we do have this type of
discussion in vpFREE, I should clarify by saying that I'd like to see the
focus on other issues of player "equity" with the other meaning of "equity" --
fairness.
For example:
1. promotions which are of no benefit to most who participate because they
are MBPTW -- must be present to win
2. cutbacks in comps & schedules which affect everybody instead of against
the people who caused the changes**(see below)
3. in drawings & promotions, additional advantages given to the heavy players
beyond what they've earned by play
4. etc, etc
This would attract more attention from the casinos since the hot button
issues would provoke a lot of comment as compared to something like "Playback"
where you wonder if it's just one, few or many people who feel the same way.
** As I wrote this, I was thinking this might be what pushes casinos to have
a "black book" for vp players as casinos get tired of making adjustments to
counteract the abusers & finally decide to ban them altogether.

A recent issue of "Playback", an online newsletter produced by
Compton Dancer Consulting that looks at gaming from the players'
perspectives, is devoted entirely to comments directly from players
about loyalty and leaving.
What's the link/url to their website? Can I read it for free, or do
I have to subscribe? If it's the latter, what's the price?
I'd also LUV to know which casinos get this newsletter. There are
some very accurate and valid statements(mostly about the importance
of the attitude of EVERY casino employee) in those customer comments.
