Planning trip to Las Vegas end of October...

We will be staying at the Rio. Does anyone have suggestions or comments on full-pay or near full pay in non-smoking areas? I wish I could search vpfree2, selecting for "NS", but I don't think I can. I've started my own notes as to what the non-smoking areas are in certain casinos, and this is how I'm able to pull them up on vpfree2:

To find non-smoking games on vpfree2, choose to do advance search, and make the following choices:

1) casinos, choose "advanced" and do not specify location
2) in "location/notes" perform searches with the following:

  A) "between keno and bingo" shows N/S games at Red Rock casino
  B) "against wall near slot club" shows N/S games at Fiesta Rancho Hotel
  C) "Hank's" shows N/S games at Green Valley Spa and Resort

Does anyone have any comments on the above casinos, or other casinos that we may want to try? We are interested in playing full-pay quarter video poker.

We may also try our hand at blackjack, especially since we want to find something in the Harrah's system to earn points. Does anyone have recommendations on blackjack in Vegas, especially at a Harrah's property?

Also, any comments on the best deals on rental cars in Vegas right now?

Thanks!

Palms across street from Rio has .25 full pay of several VP games.

Harrah's has $10 Blackjack 8 deck shoe paying 3:2 BJ at a table across from cashier behind support column. This game stays at $10 most of the time. If real busy it goes to $15.

Harrah's also has a $5 Craps table just inside the door from the Carnival Court. It has 3x4x5 odds and is a 'short' table if you are a 'dice control' person.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Our last trip was at the end of August and Alamo had the best deal then with a $50 off the week. They currently have a $30 off the week and may still be the cheapest.

I'll send the $30 off offer by private e-mail

The best non-smoking full pay quarters in Las Vegas are at Fiesta Rancho on the Optimum machines on the ramp by the players club. It's the best, Pat
