Just received a email from a friend who works in the advertising field in New York that the company she works for is saying they are going to lose Planethollywood Hotel and Casino because they are about to declare bankruptcy...I figured if anyone knows if this is true, someone on this board would..Is there any truth to this or is this just a rumor on the advertising street? I don't know anything specifically about them, but I wouldn't be surprised.
I was just in Vegas this past weekend and it was *slow*. The city as a whole
was not as full as it should have been (Fri - Sun) and PH was practically
empty. The facade there is just horrible (not very inviting). Vegas as a
whole is hurting, wouldn't be surprising to see the "low hanging fruit" like
PH going first.
Another bad sign was that my wife & I decided to just "wing it" for dinner
on Saturday, no reservations. We walked into the Luxor steakhouse, Sat, 7:00
PM, zero line, no waiting, sat right down - convenient, but not a good sign.
