Could be the 5-play 8/5 machine there

It WAS the 5-play 8/5 machine there. I was very lucky on a
multi-point day to get the leftmost machine on a bank of 5 behind the
escalator going up to the Showroom. (It really pays to check the
casino links for good games to find out where they are!) Someone was
there when I arrived. I walked around a while, and when I came back
there was an older woman just leaving the machine.

Probably a dumb question, and I'm showing off the fact that I've never
gotten a royal on a single line game before, but the second picture is a
$1,000 royal in Vegas but it says "Call Attendant." Why would you need to
call attendant if it's not a taxable win?

Not a dumb question at all. Sam's Town has many older, coin only
machines. Some of the machines are over 10 years old. Any win over a
certain amount (I don't know what that amount is) has to be paid by an
attendant because the hopper only holds so many coins. That's why the
RF has to be paid by an attendant. The machine is not a Ticket In -
Ticket Out (TITO) machine.

Does that make it less fun?

Actually, not less fun...but the one playable machine in there
according to the database,(5 play Bonus 99.2) with multipoint day...may
even see some out of work dentists playing off some freeplay sometime.
