While driving out to Mt Airy I was telling my wife about the recent
discussion on vpFREE about dealt royals on Double Pay. We usually put $100
into this game on each casino visit and before reading the discussion I had
not really thought about the disappearing dealt royal the second you do the
draw.
My wife started playing first and when down to 200 credits turned the
machine over to me. On my second hand it happened – a dealt royal – we
could not believe it.
Per the excellent advice from Guru Perf in a previous thread I called over a
slot attendant who in turn called over another. After a little explanation
from me they both seemed to understand that the royal would disappear when I
hit a draw card. Before drawing the slot attendant checked their computer
system and confirmed a jackpot signal had been sent. I hit draw and then
the machine locked up in jackpot mode. A manager arrived with the most
puzzled look as he took in the screen – nothing more than a pair showing for
a $15K payout. A little explanation by the slot attendant cleared things up
for him.
