Not a criticism; its your money..just a point of info needed. I
don't play DDB but wasn't this the wrong hold eventhough the results
turned out great ?

That's too funny, because I also always like to look at what was
held, as well as the paytable if visible.
As you point out kickers are never held in DDB, but they always are
in TDB with 2's, 3's 4's and A's..
I only mention TDB because in High Limit last week I saw a man
playing $5 TDB on a Spin Deluxe machine ($500 per hand). He was dealt
a FH and held all five cards for a $4500 hand pay. But when I saw the
hand was 3 threes and another pair I knew proper strategy was to only
hold the 3's. It's a heartbreaker if you get a bad draw, but a
potential bonanza if that other 3 shows up. And even more so if a
kicker appears with it.
But as you said, "it's your money". And sometimes when skill is
absent luck suddenly appears as its willing substitute.
