in truth, like most on this list, my VP fortunes go up and down. i'm
only ever so slightly slightly ahead for the year, despite having a
couple of 10K wins. i don't always play at the $5 denomination, i also
play regularly at 25 cents, 50 cents, $1 and $2. the thing about
playing with $5 "coins" is that when you win, you win BIG. but when
you lose, you also lose BIG. lately, i've been playing a lot of double
double and triple double bonus VP, which adds to the volatility (some
might say futility) of it all.
the machine, of course, only plays music and proudly announces the
amount of the JACKPOT, but as i explain to the people who wander by
offering congratulations, the machine never says how much money i've
LOST. while this most recent win came relatively quickly... and on the
heels of a couple of more modest ordinary fours-of-a-kind (for $1250)
that helped me feed the machine... and while i ended way up for this
particular session... this win just makes up for some spectacular
losses in atlantic city a couple of weeks ago.
and the topsy turvy battle continues...
