Pick'em royal flush

I hit a $3000 royal flush on a 50 cent pick'em machine at Casino
Niagara in Canada this past weekend. I would have posted a picture
but the casino wouldn't let me take one. They take photos of
jackpots on their own Polaroid camera. The video poker screen didn't
show up on the Polaroid.

I did manage to take a photo of my $3000 in Canadian cash back at the
hotel. It looks like Monopoly money but the Canadian dollar is at an
all time high. I got even money on the exchange rate back to U.S. if
I had waited until Monday (I had to go back Sunday) I would have made
an extra $100 on the exchange rate because the Canadian dollar
reached a 47 year high against the U.S. dollar on Monday.

Anyway, the Canadian casinos are some of the last bastions of Pick'em
poker. I don't think the Pick'em full pay machines at Casino Niagara
are going anywhere soon. There are several banks of $1 and 50 cent
full pay pick'em there. However when I was there on Saturday hardly
anybody was playing them. Casino Niagara also offers .50% cash back
so all of you in Las Vegas should go there and raid the place. Just
ignore the cold weather.

Yesh, we're all booking flights to Buffalo or Toronto to burn down
Niagara for .45. You're essentially freerolling the royal here, which
is a 350K or so to 1 shot.

Hey, there is $5 pick'em at Fallsview. You only need 583 hours of
play to go thru a royal cycle.

Ok, let's face it... it's pure luck to get a royal at pick'em or a
lifetime of playing.

I had two $1 Pickem royals at the Horseshoe in Carson City: one the first day they put the 10 $1 machines in, and one the last day before they took them out 9 months later. They had 1 1/3% cash back plus drawings. I also had a $1 Pickem royal at New York New York a few years ago (2/3% CB) and one at the Gold Dust West in Reno (1 1/3% CB).

Hi was your win at the Niagara Fallsview Casino resort or at the older
casino located north of the falls?

Where was the location of the machines. I live 2 hours away and may
pop down for a visit.

Check the vpFree database for Canada to find the
machine locations.

The old casino has FP pick-em in 50 cent and $
denominations only. The new casino has them in $5
only.

Regards
A.P.
