pickem poker
Any update on the Pickem games. That would be very disappointing and would probably stop my visits to MS

They are not replacing them. They had to shut down those machines plus three other banks because they had to make the aisle wider for the wheelchairs and scooters. They have done that all over the casino. Plus there is Pick 'Em in Earth and Wind casino.
Thank you thank you

They were back in operation yesterday and it seemed as if the screens were clearer and brighter. Perhaps it was just maintenance.

In the Wind Casino there is Pick'em Poker on the Bally Gamemaker HD $1 & $5. They are on your left when you walk in next to the table games near the cashier. The pay table is as follows 10000, 1200, 600, 100, 75, 60, 20, 15, 10 with 5 coins played.
Anyone get an invite for the travel event on August 23? Looks like a
Sagamore only thing where they are giving away trips. I'm new as a Sagamore
member.is this something they do on a regular basis? I assume they are
trying to sell me the use of their travel services. Likely to be there
anyway so I figure I may as well participate but wanted to be sure I knew
what I was getting involved with.

You should definitely go. These events are more to introduce rather than hard sell services and who knows maybe you will get lucky.

Hi All,
I am looking forward to my first visit to MS to try my hand at PKM VP;
I was wondering if the FP machines listed in the vpFREE forum are still in action - I believe as of March 09 there were 8 .25 and 9 $1 machines in the old poker room in the earth casino - plus an additional 11 machines in the Casino of the Sky?
If anyone who has been to MS recently can verify this and if you've been at MS on a Double Point Tuesday, what are my "odds"... ;o) of actually finding an open machine mid afternoon?
Thanks,
Mike

The machines are still there. Last Tuesday the Casino of the Sky machines were out of service (supposedly either to widen aisles, or to do some maintenance) but were back in operation Wednesday. As for getting on a machine, that can be problematic, especially if you run into the fat old walrus who decided she should be able to play two machines at once. They were pretty much constantly in use from at least late afternoon until midnight in the old poker room, but as I said, the other machines were out of service. You might have more luck this week if they're all up & running.
There are a lot of other pick-a-pair machines around that have a 98.97%, especially in the new casino. The pays are 10,000-1000-500-90-75-50-25-15-10, and for some reason, I've actually done better on them than on the "Full-Pays", not even counting the RF I hit a few months ago. I seem to hit significantly more quads than expected. But those, of course, are mere short-term results & past performance is not indicative of future results. (tho' as Keynes pointed out, in the long run, we're all dead).
Good luck, and I left all the royals for you to collect this week ; (

Hi Guru,
Thanks for the confirmation on the FP PKM machines...I don't know what to say about the "marine life"...I'll never understand the need to play 2 machines at once, aside from it being poor casino etiquette...
98.97% isn't bad, of course if I could see the future I would pick the machine that was going to pay off more "quads" for that day's play (assuming no RFs and STFLs) as receiving no RFs STFLs or quads on the FP PKM lowers the return into the 94% range (don't have the exact figure at hand)...so as with all RNG machines, it truly is a YMMV over the short run and the long run is as Keynes says it is... :o)
I'll let you know if I am able to collect any of those royals you so kindly left behind for your fellow vpFREE_NewEngland members.
All the best,
Mike

I think someone answered this already, but you can find all the Pick'em pay tables here:
http://www.vpfree2.com/pay-table/pickem
and info about MS here
http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/mohegan-sun
Those pages look more-or-less quite up to date, however, the points are listed at 1 for $140. Did they really go up to 1 for $160?
