Pickem Poker

What sort of a bankroll would you need to play dollar pickem poker
for 3 days/2 nights with only a 5%-10% risk of ruin? I want to make
the rounds at Bally's/Paris and NYNY to get established. Can
anybody help.

I don't think the Risk of Ruin calculator
(www.lotspiech.com/GamblersRuin.html) supports Pickem.

Based on personal experience, I'd suggest a decent $1 Pickem bankroll
would be $4k - $6k.

It's not uncommon to get returns of around 85% in a single session.
Last night I dropped $200 on a quarter machine in 1,491 hands - If
you don't make your quads, that can happen.

Worst case is U get no Royal, S/F, and come up quite short on your 4
Kind. Knock 5% Off the top. Simply put, allow $50 for every $1000 U
want to put through. Of course the more U put through, the better
chance U have of leveling out your 4 kinds, etc..
At $100000 through (20,000 hands), I'd think $4,000 (4%)would hold U??
IMHO

For dollar pick'em, you need 7220 bankroll for positive tsi rating.
For quarter pick'em, you need 2000 bankroll.

These are assuming .55% cash back, which only the LV Hilton gives.
If you play somewhere else, then your ev goes down and your required
bankroll goes way up. Moving to just .5% cb (1/2 a percent less)
requires u to up ur bankroll by 800!

If you play somewhere that has .3% cb, then you need a 14000
bankroll! So cb makes a huge difference.

Btw, All American at LV Hilton is lowest bankroll game i can find
based on tsi rating. It is same as fpdw, but nowhere has fpdw
with .55% cash back, so this all-american is best vp around. It only
requires a 1345 bankroll for positive tsi rating playing quarter aa.
You'd expect to make 10.16 an hour playing it at rate of 650
hands/hour.

There is another, even more accurate way to calculate bankroll and
actual % risk of ruin, but i can't find it right now. I'll post
later if i do, but this is a good guidepost for ya.
