Pick'em on VP software

I noticed on your website that Frugal only works with Vista in 32 bit mode. Do you know if I will have a problem with Windows 7? I am now using a seven year old XP machine which I need to replace to run Deep Rykba 3 (A chess program that is stronger than any human player.). If it does, then I will also have to figure out how to move it from the old computer as I have the original cd before pick-em and JW2.

Frugal Video Poker software does have Pick'Em.

I have these comments from people who are more computer-savvy than I am:

1. Running FVP on Windows 7 (32-bit)

"If a program written for an earlier version of Windows doesn't run correctly, use the Program Compatibility Wizard to change the compatibility settings for the program. To change settings for a program manually, use the individual program's Compatibility tab. Vista is supposed to run it automatically, but you can also do it yourself. Just search for "compatibility" in the Help section."

2. Running FVP on a 64-bit machine.

"If you have a 64-bit machine then there is some problem in installing older programs. What you can do is install them on an older machine and then just copy the entire folder to your new machine."

"I’m running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on one of my computers. When I
tried to install FVP from the disc it would not install. I copied the
complete set of FVP files from my other drive to Win7. It runs fine."

NOTE: If you have an old version of FVP (before Pick'em was added), write to me privately and I'll help you get an update. If you have the 1.1 Version (which does have Pick'em), that is the latest version.
