Is there really a strategy for this??

There is yes, but a fairly simple one. Most hands are no brainers, it's either obvious which hand to choose or it doesn't matter. That's what makes the game boring. Myself, I can't play it more then four hours.

We play dollar pick em up here in Niagara and some in AC.
Have had several winning four hour sessions without hitting the top three payouts and last week had a winning session with only two full houses.

Toughest hand to deal with is dealt quads and not being able to keep them.

It's definetly a game that takes awhile to get used to..at first i hated it

I play it sometimes in Atlantic City. Their are a few simple rules to learn for when you have to choose between holding a pair or going for a straight or a flush. I dont know if you can get a strategy card. I learned it by playing in Win Poker and letting the computer show me my mistake's. Its pretty easy, so I can even play it pretty well after I have a few drink's. <g> Ned C. The Wild Joker

I dont know if you can get a strategy card. I learned it by playing
in Win Poker and letting the computer show me my mistakes.

You CAN get a strategy sheet. In fact, there's one for free on this
web site. Go to the database and look for the page on which casinos
offer full pay Pick 'Em. Below the list is a strategy chart.

I agree that most hands are common sense. But occasionally I need a
reminder, like whether a low pair is better than a 3-card non-inside
straight, and so forth.

Thats the best part of the whole game, especially at a bar machine.
