pick a pair at Motor City

VP Pappy,

Run the pay table through Winpoker before you play again. The game that could be analysed by the software was pretty bad.

Unless I'm wrong, this is the pay scale for "Pick A Pair."

6000 RF
1000 SF
500 4
  90 FH
  75 FL
  55 ST
  25 3
  15 TP
  10 9s or Better

It computes to 99%, which in this town at the quarter level, is
not all that bad. But there's really no sense in playing it at Motor
City since Greektown offers the quarter full-pay version at 99.95%.

PS: I finished third in a Texas Hold'em Poker tournament Saturday in
Armada. Didn't get much to play with all night. Had to use every
trick I've learned in playing poker for over 60 years since I was a
young boy.
Bluffs, huge raises with nothing, fake tells, bullying, stealing
blinds, and other ruses to overcome the poor hands that I got. Five
hours of play and the best hand I had was a straight. Slow played
that and got a guy to go all in with three of a kind. He didn't
improve and I won a big pot which kept me going. Eventually, my luck
ran out and I had to go all-in with a so-so hand,(which I lost)
because the blinds were killing me.
I'd still rather play video poker.
