Hello to all regular posters and thanks for your efforts:
Some of you might have wondered where I have been as far as
Laughlin (Terry, Chris, Drew, etc.) I finally made a commitment
to revisit the Belle. I booked the $40,000 Invitational Slot
Tournament with 3 Free nights. First Place is $10,000 and
includes an awards dinner and departure brunch.I still have not traded in my old "One Club" card, but the
offers seem to keep coming. This trip could easily become the
start of the end of offers. With the VP selection so minimal,
I will not be maintaining my former "white card" status, or
its new equivalent. Yes there are a few $.25 full pay machines,
but not enough hours in a day to reach those levels. My former
play was a mixture of $1 and $5. Mostly $1, but some were 3, 5
and 10 Play $1 machines. The last time in Laughlin I questioned a host about the food
cards. She said they were still giving dining cards, but that
feature was to be quickly phased out. The logic being that the
higher level of comps are now are so much greater. Former cards
were being issued only long enough for the former recipients to
gather enough of the new Access Card points to be in a similar
position. There is no way this is possible. I mean that "white
card" was a really valuable benefit! However, with no Orleans
Room or reasonable video poker, it is a mute point. I could
never obtain enough new Access points to match what I had!The main reason I even booked was because I also booked a VIP
Golf Tournament at Harrah's on the same trip. This gives me a
spare room, some meals and something for my wife to do while I
play golf. I am assuming she can substitute for me on Sunday
in the slot tournament.I have continued to get offers from the Belle/Edgewater. The
biggest difference is they are usually for either casino. In
the past all of my play and offers was at the Belle. These are
the current offers in hand:1. Oct 1st-Nov 1st
$20,000 Dead People Giveaway 3 free nights and an Entry
into the drawing every Tuesday and Saturday

They include a lot of flexibility between both casinos. However,
I think my real identity will be exposed after this November trip.
I wrote this in Microsoft Works. I am not too confident the
formatting will be acceptable when copying it to my email and
posting to this group. Well, I can only try so here goes!Bob

Look at all that mail! I guess there really isn't much to play right now at
the higher denominations in the CB/EW. Single line Bonus 8/5 is available up
to $5 with that strong slot card, but that was about it.
These various slot tourneys add value, but just how much? Free-play, bird in
the hand, offers sure could be alot better than burning up time for hoop
jumping tourneys.
This Fist Full of Cash promo is for low rollers since you can only do it once
a day...$350 coin-in to qualify.
Chef Micheal Demers has to be up to something for the old Orleans Room one of
these days.
Hamstockman has to get down there too. He has a baseball futures ticket to
cash that he purchased last November. Rockies? You bet the Rockies to win the
NL?
