However, I do not like the message I am giving!!!!

Went waaaaay out to the Hyatt at Lake Las Vegas last night - gee is that
place dark at night - with another couple. First, at the slot club desk we
found out that the slot bonus coupon can only be used once - for new
membership only - we had used a set of coupons, including that one, in
March. But Troy, the boothling, validated our other 4 coupons. 2 of us
went to roulette and put 2 coupons down with $50 chips each - the dealer
gave us the chips and never batted an eye when she saw the coupons. Just
before she spun the wheel the pit boss came up and said that we could use
our BJ coupons but "we have not been honoring the roulette coupons for a
month." The dealer looked surprised and the BJ dealer, overhearing this
exchange, expressed his surprise when we went to use the BJ coupons at his
table.

I am sure that the pit boss "made up" that story on the spur of the moment.
I did gently ask him why the slot club person validated them - but, as we
all know, a casino can do anything they want to as to coupons. So we were
out of luck. Fortunately Brad and I won $100 playing our BJ coupons but the
other couple lost $50. But that's the story of couponing. You have to
expect some setbacks. We had some bad luck on our first 2 coupon books we
used in February - but still ended up winning $455 - which isn't small
change.

It's my understanding that CP no longer gives traditional matchplays
for the Hyatt. Now you get 4 "alternate play" coupons where you have
to make a regular (couponless) bet first. This forces you to give
them a little more action, which seems fair enough to me.

It's too bad about the slot coupon being one-time-only. I'm just
glad none of the casinos have totally reneged on their offers like
last year. All in all, this year's offers are still excellent.
