Daryl -
thanks for asking, but I ain't the resident expert on this vpFree_Reno site even tho' I
seem to post a lot.
without even addressing your confusing question (levels? nada, 5.5 or 10. ??? no
idea what this means!) I think the answer you are looking for is not here. If you are
truly playing "Full-Pay" video poker, it does not matter where you are playing it.
Nevada & Biloxi are well-regulated.
If you're losing that much an hour for long periods, are you playing the correct
strategy? Sticking to single line quarters? Switching games too much (mixing up
strategies). I dunno, I'm not the doctor. But I'm rootin' for you, such a down streak
sucks, but you'll be stronger for it maybe, but your next Royal will be that much
sweeter. Quit when you're ahead, no one should be satisfied losing.
One reason to try different casinos is to find surroundings where you are completely
comfortable. No distractions, no worries, no pressures, no machine anomalies like
sticky buttons. Focus on the game.
Anyhow, I play at Silver Legacy and Peppermill in Reno. I've played elsewhere a little,
but I am very comfy in these two. Lotsa Full-Pay in the games I am well-practiced at.
I've rarely gone 4 days without a memorable Royal, quads or SF of some sort, so
maybe your Vegas trip was a rarity, or maybe you weren't playing your A-game.
Less commotion in Reno compared to Vegas, certainly. Maybe that will help.
Keep some notes and share your trip report here, OK? I'm in town Thurs -thru Mon
myself.
Have fun. Stick to your plan & budget.

Mark,
We are going to Reno this week, Thursday to Sunday, for our first
visit. Are any casinos that seem to be more friendly in respect to
not losing money so fast. Our last trip to Vegas was a bloodbath.
We played full pay machines and it became apparent very quickly that
all pay tables are the same at the first three levels; nada, 5. 5 or
10. It wasn't fun for three days. When we go to Biloxi, we play at
the IP since we almost always "lose a little, win a little". We
would like to stay away from places where we lose $100/hour or more.
Thanks,
Daryl
