peppermill tier point

How many times do you people have to be told? Comps are discretionary and Gaming is fine with that. Comps not only vary by game; but by demonstrated skill of the player! For example, when I first started out playing SL's 101%-return SFPJW, they assumed I was an average player. Because of this, I received a decent comp rate. However, after I demonstrated my superior skill at the game, my base rates dropped to .04% on comps and .03% on free play! I can raise one of those to .06% depending on which "club" I select. So, on non-multiplier days, I can get a maximum combined rate of .10% (and a max of .15% on 2xComps days and .16% on 2xFreeplay days). Also, I win very little of value at the card swipe and other giveaways. It's no accident that the losing whales get the good comp rates and win the best prizes in drawings, etcetera.

Casinos have been cutting comps and benefits significantly during the last couple of years especially for VP players.

Are you confident that this is personal or perhaps everyone's comp rate on the machines that you play have been reduced as well?

In my experience and talking to locals who often play the Joker 4700 at the Silver Legacy, everybody's comp rate was reduced at the same time. The same goes for the $1 Double Bonus (by playing multiple nickels). Too many players took advantage of a good comp rate, mailers with cash included and drawings at the time the comp rate was reduced. I probably didn't have enough play to rate me as an AP. My base rate today as a 3-day visitor 8 times a year is the same as Reno Master reports.

Apparently different players may have a different comp rates, but it may be that those who play a lot, even advantage players, may get higher rate, which is puzzling. I know of 1 AP that plays Joker frequently who gets a .08 comp rate. Of course the Legacy may have made a mistake.

I tend to think that the entry into drawings is based on the theo of the game played and the amount wagered. Drawings pretty much disappeared for AP on the Joker.. If the swipe card referred to is the Mansion, I think those results are poor for everyone, but I don't know any whales to base that on. I base that also on talking to locals-I could be wrong.

I'm guessing the free play rate isn't published in their literature? If a free play, cashback, or even comp rate was published in their literature, I would think they might be held to that by Gamng Control. Of course you could be trespassed for raising the issue....

I'm not sure I understand the comment, but as far as free play and comp funds that can be used in the casino's dining facilities, gift shop, etc., both can be easily calculated. Just log onto the computer at various locations, including at the machine you are playing, Ascertain your current points, count your coin in, and determine the increase in points by logging back on to the computer.. This is the identical procedure used at a lot of casinos but the Legacy allows you to do this both for in casino comps and free play.

To my knowledge the casino doesn't publish this.

As far as discretionary comps are concerned, I haven't been able to decipher that.
