It use to be if you had Platinum or Diamond you had a seperate line
for the buffet and priority seating at different places, cafes, etc...
Past weekend - and we are both diamond...I am told - they have done
away with that. There is only 1 line for the buffett (there is a sign
that even lists all the cards) and only one line for the cafe.
Has anyone else run into this. We have been diamond for 3 years so it
has nothing to do with our status.

I just hit the Buffet today with my Gold card and got in the special
line. You get preferential seating too, but its awkward because there's
no clear way to determine who is waiting to be seated and who is
waiting to be seated with a Gold or better.
The comps line was enormous as usual at this time of day, and their
refusal to staff it with more than 2 people is remarkable. Preferential
treatment is diamond or platinum in that line so I had to wait forever.
Oh well.
If that is the case, the change must have just happened. I saw the
special "Gold and above" line last Thursday at the buffet. There was
not much of a line, so this perk did not do me any good.

Interesting as I was there last weekend and there was only one
line. No special line for anyone. I was told everyone waits in the
one line and then if you are diamond or platinum - you will be
seated first but the line just to get to the cashier was extremely
long.

I was also there last weekend. There is a small sign claiming gold card
and above service right where people exit the buffet. There are also 2
cashier stations, the one nearest the buffet area, divided by a light
blue velvet rope, is for gold and above. Since the remodel, it may seem
confusing but it is definately still there.
We were at the Buffet today and found the ropes are configured
differently than last 2 years. The pay line feeds right into the comp
and Gold-Plat-Diamond line. I was going to mention it to the manager
who was there, but after the meal we decided not to since in our
opinion the buffet has gone down hill and I don't think we'll be
eating there any more. Will stick to the Coffee Shop and other
restaurants.
FYI sandwiches at the new sports book grill are great.
We'll be hanging around Reno for another few weeks.
Then someone forgot to tell the cashier that I asked. If you live
in that area maybe you could mention it to the manager that runs
that. They need to just seperate it like every other place. Or
make it real clear there are 2 different lines. I am surprised Gold
is included in the same line. I am diamond so I don't know how much
play is required for gold. It must be alot if they are included in
the same line. Thanks for all the info though and next time I am up
there I will look for the correct area to be.
