$47 per point on the best VP games (EV close to or > 100%) sounds
about right. I've seen literature from the Peppermill quoting $25
per point for slots and $40 per point on VP, but like others on the
board have noticed, it seems that when playing 100%+ games such as
10/7 DB that it takes more than $40 per point - my last average was
actually around $50 per point when I played almost exclusively 10/7
DB. People definitely noticed more than $40 per point were
required when playing the now-gone FPDW.
Regarding Stuart's question, if we use $47 per point as the
guideline, and a play speed of 600 HPH, then to earn 200 points it
would take 12.5 hours on a quarter machine or a little over 3 hours
on a dollar machine. (600*1.25 = $750 CI per hour = 16 points
earned per hour = 12.5 hours to reach 200 points), or 600*5=$3000 CI
per hour = 64 points earned per hour = 3.1 hours to reach 200
points). Since 9/6 JOB is under 100% EV, not sure if that means
you'd need less dollars to earn a point than the 47. But you can
always check at the booth to get your new balance after you play
awhile (though I hope someday the Pepp kiosk, or better yet the
machines themselves, will give us that info).
Very interesting about the mailer telling how many points you need
to retain a card level, I wonder if that is new? I've always been
told the Pepp used a "rolling 12-month" formula for determining
point balances. Has anyone else received mailings like this in the
past?? Better check my mail too :-).

The DataBase has about $47 per point, which is
the best guesstimate that I recall in the latest
Peppermill points discussion.
