I can verify that points are lost one year after earning them, I
think on a day to day basis. On our last trip we were monitoring our
points closely and on one day after playing heavily we had about 400
less points than the day before. On inquiry our host told us that
this was because we had had a trip the year before at that time and
those points had just dropped off. As far as card levels,it appears
that if at any time you accumulate enough points and you are at the
Peppermill at the time you will be upgraded. So you can start earning
at any time and just have to earn enough in the twelve month period
to be upgraded. What we are wondering is what happens then if you
fall below the card level on the next trip due to points dropping
off. Is it like being stripped of rank in the the Armed Forces, they
call you in and confiscate your card? Or maybe just the next time you
lose or need a new card you drop down? Or do you ever drop down?
We did get a new letter with $200 free play thru July 20th to Sept
13th (I think) but with blackout dates which is a first. We did not
get the prior offer letter that others mentioned for the early summer
only the coupon book.
Trip in two weeks, I am counting down the days. I don't know why but
I feel less lucky than usual which is saying a lot. I'll let you'all
know if my radar holds true.
