Peppermill Mr. Money program

Received a notice of changes. All Mr. Money coupons expire 1/2/2011. Prize
pool going up from $10K to $15K & you need to be in top 100. More
tournaments. 100 pts to earn a coupon vs 150 pts in 2010. Ever since they started
the program, 9 months ago, none of my coupons have ever been worth anything
vs every coupon being worth something before the change.

As an out-of-towner this is what's going thru my head:
---So 100 pts to earn a coupon means more worthless coupons.
---Since I never made the top 100, the increase in prize money still means
--- NO MONEY!!!
---More tournaments. As an out-of-towner, it's hard to attend on their
schedule. Compare to Atlantis which has conversion-to-free-play day 2 or 3
times/month or Grand Sierra which has cashback neither of which require a
return trip.
---All the advantages go to the locals who can attend all the tournaments
& drawings.
---I like the Peppermill a lot and I've been at Diamond for a while but
have to consider dropping back one or two tiers since I rarely use the
benefits. The Tuscany rooms are very nice but I prefer the Peppermill tower which
is close to the casino.
---Agree that Peppermill has to tweak it's incentives but have heard
nothing but complaints about this program.
---Please fire the person in Marketing who thought this up. It's probably
the same one who did the quarterly coupon program --- remember the coupons
would say something like "Good at any time" on the face but when turned over
it would have all the exceptions. That also generated lots of ill will.
Clearly this person doesn't have any feel for what public reaction would be
but has a great sense of hyperbole.
