Peppermill info

The database slot club information definitely seems to be inaccurate about the Peppermill.

The following has been determined and veriified through several different means, from Peppermill published information, information from discussions with hosts and from tracking play and verifying point and comp accrual -

points at the Peppermill are $40 coin in/point for VP play and $25/point for slot play.

The comp rate is .5% for VP play and .8% for slot play.

I don't know the rates for table games and keno.

As for room comps - all event offers have the following text on them:

"All complimentaries are based on casino play and will be posted to your comp account."

This text is usually linked to the footnote mark that's next to the mention of the complimentary room nights for out-of-town guests. It's been my experience that the event itself is not charged to the comp account, but that the room stay during the event is. Coming into an event with complimentary room stay, though, does guarantee that you won't have to pay for the room even if you run your comp balance negative. Concert offers usually have the same footnote mark next to the mention of the concert tickets as well.

There are other coupons you can get for room stays that are not charged to your comp account. The periodic coupon mailer has such a coupon, and card swipes from the Peppermillions kiosk can also generate these coupons. It's possible that there are some offers (like "please come back we haven't seen you in a long time") that also have rooms that are not charged to comps.

On another note, unfortunately with the removal of the 6 MG/MD machines in area 7 (between the fish bar and fireside lounge) that had FPDW, the 9/6/100 DDB 10 coin $.25 progressive was also removed (or relocated, but if so I haven't spotted it yet).

Thanks Part-Timer,

For your always interesting and informative posts. You are MY
authority on the Peppermill, as I believe that you have researched
this throughly.

I have been given so much conflicting information by Peppermill
employees, that I was truly confused.

For example, I was told by a Boothling "Supervisor" that to earn one
point at VP play, required $65.00 coin-in. Your figure of $40.00
seems much more accurate according to my own play. A slot host (NOT
mine) told me that "he didn't know the coin-in requirement for one
point, because they weren't given this information". Ha.

I was also told that points earned stay in your account for exactly
one year, and then disappear. So, points earned in July '06. expire
in July '07, if not used by that time. I'm not sure if this is
entirely accurate either.

The only thing all parties seem to agree about is that a Gold Card
requires 2000 accrued points and a Platinum Card requires 7500
accrued points. No one was able to tell me the "accrual period",
though I suspect it is a one year time frame. If this is true, I
haven't a clue as to which trip triggers a new accrual period.

I have had a Gold Card for several years. During that time, I have
never had to pay for a room or a meal at the Peppermill. My tastes
are simple when I'm playing, particularly when I'm there solo.
Outside of dinners at Oceano or The Steakhouse, which almost never
exceed $25.00 for just me, I usually dine at the Coffee Shop.

In any event, since I don't ever have to pay for RFB at the
Peppermill, I've decided not to overly concern myself about whatever
it is that they wish to keep secret.

Thanks again, Part Timer, for your elucidation on this subject!

Best regards,
~Babe~
