Peppermill info

There are no $.05/$.10 FPDW on the slant tops near the Oceano door. Despite a report claiming there were, I believe someone didn't look at the pay tables. Both sets of slant tops have Airport Deuces 1/2/3/4/4/9/15/25/200/800 (98.9%) at the $.05 and $.10 level (I last looked at them on Tue 5/24), and I believe the player in the trip report just saw the 9/15 part of the pay schedule and assumed they were full pay.

Several games have been misidentified in the past at the Peppermill, and probably at other casinos as well. When a play is discovered, it's important to note every single line in the pay table to make sure it's the game you think it is, or has the return that you think it does. Certainly I've had the experience of thinking I was about to play a particular game, then closer inspection of the paytable revealed that in fact it was something else.

I examined two banks of MG/MD machines that have the "Extreme Jackpot" glass on them, one a bank of 8 slant tops near the Fireside Lounge and Fish Bar, and the other bank of 6 slant tops by the blue keno lounge near the Steak House. These banks of machines have the 10/6/40 DDB game on them, progessive at the $1 level, but also at $.25 and $.50 without progressive. The bank near the blue keno lounge may or may not also be the one listed in the database as being near the sports book (the keno lounges are near the sports book). These two banks of machines include several games that should be listed in the database:

As noted, $.25/$.50/$1 10/6/40 DDB (progressive at $1 level). 99.96%
$.25/$.50/$1 16/11 Double Deuces 99.62%
$.25/$.50/$1 9/7 TDB 99.58%
$.25/$.50/$1 NSUD 99.73%

I think they also had 9/6 JoB, but that's so ubiquitous in the casino that I don't notice it on specific machines.

There's also a bank of slant tops near the Fireside Lounge and Fish Bar that have $.25 Bonus Poker with a progressive on the royal, and 50000 coin sequential royal. This game is 99.63% at reset.

All machines at the Peppermill are TITO, so it needn't be listed as a specific note for some machines in the database.

In the NSUD section, it should be noted that the two banks of MG/MD slant tops near the Oceano doors have $1 25 coin NSUD, and one of those banks has $.25 25 coin NSUD (the other bank has the 10 coin FPDW at $.25).

Also - the $.05 10/7 DB Progressives by the rainbow bar are 10 coin machines.

I know that some people like to report a 10 coin game as being at double the limit, for instance saying $.50 for a 10 coin $.25 game, but in fact some casinos do promotions (such as card of the day) and player tracking on the base denomination being played, not on total coin in, so it's important to clarify these cases.

Hi "Part Timer"

Thanks so much for your detailed report on PEPP VP.

I will be in Reno for 5 days, in a couple of weeks, at
both PEPP & SL. Your excellent post has been copied and
I will take it with me. I know it will save me lots of
wandering around and scouting, when I get there.

Thanks again for being so thoughtful!

Best regards,

Babe

Thanks for the compliment. The inventory at the Peppermill is so large, and there are so many decent plays there that it's very hard to be comprehensive. I go there a lot, and I'm always finding something new. If you're up for it, I'd advase at the Peppermill to become familiar with the layout of the casino (that took me a while), and to do a lot of hunting. There are constant small changes in the inventory, so things that are listed in the database are always subject to change, and there are lots of hidden plays. I try to report periodically on things that I notice and that I think might be of interest, but I still don't get around to looking at what's on most of the machines there.
