Peppermill host for GOOD casino rate???

I emailed the Peppermill, and asked about getting a casino rate for a
room. Never been to Reno before. Gave no history. Host Doug McIver
said he would be me a casino rate for the three week days we are there.

On the Peppermill web site, their rate calender shows a rack rate for
the tower as $59.95. The 'casino rate' Doug offered was $49.95 a
night. $10 discount! Sure doesn't seem like much.

Does this sound like the normal casino rate discount??

Does anyone have a host there that you are very impressed with?

Once you establish yourself you will get great deals. Take the rate
you are offered and see what you can do about the bill when you
checkout. I'm not really sure what else you expected but the Pepp is
very generous.
