Peppermill gives me the cold shoulder

I have not received any decent peppermill offers for at least 3 months. For a 15K/day player, I use to do fairly well, $300 in free play , and suite for 2 nights. I called up my host at the Mill, and was told "an offer was send back". I had them check the address and it was correct. Hmmm...that's funny, same phony excuse as another player received on this forum. I told her , I was forced to stay at another property for new years time , but would rather stay at the Mill ( hint hint ) . She shrugged, "oh well, I've corrected the address, and you should get our next offer , which will be next year". I was shocked at the rudeness that I received.... no....What can I do for you , I'll send the old mailer out right away, what nights do you want to come in ?, etc"
I think I know the reason for this new Tude:
a. Peppermill needs money for their new wing, and its number one target audience is anybody but advantage VP players.
b. I beat them 5 trips in a row, over 2 years straight.

So I guess I'll have to stay with my current offers of all RFB ( 2 nights Silver, 4 nights Atlantis incl new years eve, and 3 nights Eldo ). I just might stop by, and beat The Mill one last time to make it an even 1/2 dozen straight !

best wishes to all....Tom

Regarding new Tude ... you may be right Tom, but if I read this
correctly, you've got 5 visits spread over the last 2 years. That's
not much and might be a factor in the declining value of your offers
as Pepp only looks at your last 12 months to peg your comps, points,
and offers. Older action (and what it's worth) is continually
dropping out of the system, so you're only as good as your last 12
months.

I don't like this "what have you done for me lately?" attitude
either. But if you want to make time with the Pepp, you probably
need to stop by on your next visit. Hopefully it will be a win-win!

Tom, Would you be kind enough to share with the rest of board, how
you managed to receive or be offered RFB at the Silver Legacy?

I am assuming that, by stating you are "RFB", that you are implying
that comps are not charged to your comp account. If that is true,
then I am truly puzzled.

Everyone that I know, including some $50K + C/I per day VP players
has been told, as have I, personally, that no matter how much C/I a
VP player is willing to put at risk, that no discretationary RFB
privileges will be given. All meals and other costs, must be paid
for by accessing the player's comp account, which is, of course,
based on play.

The comp account is limited to a maximum of $600. The player
must "spend-down" the account, when it reaches that level, in order
for new comps to accrue. Since the SL does not offer CB, comps must
be used for other hotel or gift charges. The comp account can be
utilized either at check-out, if charges are made to the room, or
by self-comping each charge, as needed.

Have the Club Legacy rules changed recently? Or were you actually
able to procure a more satisfactory arrangement than the above
through other means?

Thanks,
~Babe~

If you're willing to play (risk your money) without an offer, there is
no marketing reason for them to send you an offer in the future. If
they really want your business, they will send you an offer. It's just
like buying a new car, if you pay full price without a cash refund or
dealer incentives, you're a fool. That's the way retail works these days.

Babe - its quite simple. You call up your host and tell them , " the offers not bad , but you want a lot more." You then negotiate, If I give you $X action per day, then its RFB - yes ? I've never met a host that backed down from his verbal after the deed was done !
Jean writes about this slot host factor quite extensively in her frugal books. I'd say , its not a stretch to double anything the slot club offers you, by developing a good working relationship with a host.
