Peppermill FPDW

From: Trish Olsen <trish5170@yahoo.com>

The alcove with the fpdw by the fireside has been rearranged. Does anyone know what has happened with the FPDW.

There are 7 machines in the alcove (which is not really an alcove any more, but they are along the wall where the alcove used to be). 6 of them are MG/MD IGT machines that still have the FPDW at $.25 the last time I looked (as of last weekend). I did not look to see what other games were on the machines, and just assumed for the moment that they were the same mix of games as were on the machines in the alcove previously. The 7th machine was a single game single denomination on a progressive. I don't recall what the game was at the moment. Whatever it was, it didn't attract my attention so wasn't a game that was positive or close at reset.

The FPDW on this bank is 5 coin max, unlike the bank by the Oceano entrance that has 10 coin max.

The last time I was there, I had the directions to the FPDW that let you
play 10 coins. I stood at Oceanos entrance. I faced the mural of the beach
across the floor. I located some machines to my left that were multi game,
but there were no 10 coin FPDW there. What did I do wrong? Start me off
from Oceano's entrance...right or left? FAcing the slides of the beach or
not? Thanks for any help... Annie

Fom the outside, one side of the casino has the hotel entrance and valet parking and a large parking lot. The other side of the casino has a smaller (but still sizeable) parking lot, and an entrance of doors in a semi-circe. That semi-circle of doors is the Oceano entrance. There are 12 machines near those doors (close enough that in cold weather the opening and closing of the doors causes annoying cold blasts across those machines, so bring something warm to wear). Facing the machines as if you have come in from the outside, the left bank of 6 have FPDW at $.25, 10 coin max. The right bank of 6 has something else (NUSD or UD at 25 coin max, I don't recall which) at the $.25 level.

As of last weekend, the 10 coin $.25 FPDW was still there and several people were playing it. Sometimes the bank fills up with people playing other games, keno being particularly popular, so you might not be able to get a machine or check paytables at a given time. But the machines are not camped 24/7, and with just a little patience you should be able to get one.

The Peppermill does change its inventory frequently, but AFAIK these particular machines have never been moved or downgraded since they were put in despite difficulty that some people have in finding them. The Peppermill is in the process of replacing all their carpeting through the casino, though, so some areas may be temporarily inaccessible.

Start from the doors to the north parking lot as you enter the casino. The Beach is on your left. The first bank of machines (perpendicular to the Beach) on your right as you walk into the casino along the Beach area has 6 machines (3X3) MG/MD with FPDW in quarters where max bet is 10 coins, although they are full pay at 5 coins. You will see people playing 20-coin nickels on these machines, as well as keno.

Gotcha!!!! Thanks a million. My problem was that I interpreted the "Oceano
Entrance" to mean the entrance to the restaurant itself. I remember those
machines. I sat on the right hand bank because the left hand bank ws
occupied by keno players. The right bank indeed does not have the 10 coin
FPDW and I never could get a seat on the other side to check it out. Thanks
a million!!!!! Hoping to get to Reno in June to celebrate our 40th wedding
anniversary. Annie

Thank you. Sorry it took so long, but I only logged in once or twice for a week. Now I am home and can thank everyone for the help. I guess I lost less for finding those machines.
