Peppermill - been awhile since we've been - any idea ho...

I have to agree with hamstockman. Even though you have a good history of
play it's been a while since you've been there. If it's of any help to you, I
last got $275 of FP but that's based on play that varies from $75K to
$150K & I've been doing that for a while. If FP is that important, you should
stay at your indian casino. I've continued to patronize Peppermill for the
quality experience that they've shown me & my guests but I have to admit
that FP & comps have been progressively less over the years. However, the
discretion that they allow their hosts has ameliorated the changes.

They have plenty of history on us and our trips and our coin-in/out. We
gamble from the second we get there until we leave and we eat fast so we can
gamble even more. The room is just a place to sleep for a few hours before
we get up and go back to the casino.

A free room costs them nothing unless they are at 100% capacity so I don't
really see that as something they are giving up. If they are at 100%
capacity then that is different. However, they don't owe us anything so you are
correct that a free room is something.

I wasn't expecting a lot (and thought I might get nothing) but I had hoped
with our gaming history they would offer some type of free play to get us
back into the casino even if it was minimal.

As to the Indian casino free play the local free play offers used to pale
to what Peppermill would offer to get people to take the extra time and
effort to make the trip. Now it seems to be reversed. That is what I meant
about Peppermill not catering to out of towners like they used to do. Maybe I
am wrong and others are getting really good free play offers and its just
the length of time since we've been there. I can't say what others get now
compared to what they used to receive so you are right I should not have
made a general statement.

Chances are we would lose money anyway (and lose a good amount). So in
that regard the amount of free play probably doesn't matter much but it was
something to entice people thru the door to start gambling.

Don't get me wrong. I have enjoyed Peppermill in the past when I've
visited. If I lived locally I would probably visit it often. Just not sure with
all the other choices that exist today (that didn't a few years ago) and
with much better local offers it is worth it.

This is just my opinion, but I think that is a generous offer of giving

you free rooms with no history of play on your part for two years.
Expecting free play also is unrealistic I believe.

I don't see how a visit to the Peppermill will require you to be "giving

up" your $100 in free play at your Indian Casino down the road.? I think
you should just stick with your local casino where you seem to have a very
good relationship and forget Reno.

I also don't agree with you conclusion that the Peppermill is not

interested in catering to out of towners. They have a lot of hotel rooms to fill.

Well, it sure has been an interesting discussion about the Peppermill

and thanks for starting that up.
